At Appdex (“we”, “our” or “us”), your privacy is very important to us. We process your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information we collect:
We collect information through our contact, request a quote, and evaluate my project pages. Depending on how you interact with our website, the data we receive varies. All information is collected in compliance with Swiss data protection law (FADP) and the EU GDPR.
Personal information (via our contact and quote forms):
- Full name (required)
- Company name (optional)
- Business email (required)
- Phone number (optional)
- Message / Description (required)
- Type of service (required for a quote, optional for contact)
- Project budget (required for a quote, optional for contact)
- Subscription plan selection (optional)
- Preferred contact method (optional)
- Estimated timeline (optional, quote only)
Only fields marked as required are necessary to submit the form. If you choose to provide optional fields, we will also receive and process this information as part of your request.
Personal information via the ‘Evaluate My Project’ page:
This tool allows you to get an instant, anonymous project estimate in five steps (contact details, project content and design, budget and timeline, and project summary).
- When you fill in the form, your full name, client type, business email, and phone number are not collected or stored when you click Get My Estimate.
- These fields remain local to your browser until you choose to Chat with an advisor.
- Only when you click Chat with an advisor do you actively consent to share your name, client type, business email, and phone number with us. At that point, we securely store this information to contact you about your project.
This ensures that no personal data is collected unless you clearly choose to start a conversation with our team.
Usage data (anonymized): We use tools such as Google Analytics and PostHog to collect anonymized usage data (IP address, device type, browser, pages visited). This helps us improve performance and user experience. This data is not used for advertising and is never resold.
2. How we use your information:
We use your information for the following purposes, based on one or more legal grounds: your consent, the necessity to perform a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Respond to your requests and inquiries
- Process quotes, invoices, and project coordination
- Personalize and improve your user experience
- Monitor platform usage and performance
- Send project updates or notifications
- Ensure GDPR/FADP-compliant handling of personal data
❗ We do not sell or rent your data to any third parties.
3. Sharing your information:
We only share your personal information in the following situations:
- With trusted providers: If you have a project with us, we may share certain data with trusted third-party providers (hosting, email, payment, analytics) within the scope of your project. For example, setting up your app or website may require using your business email for account creation.
- Evaluate My Project exception: Data entered in this estimator is not shared with any third party until you click Chat with an advisor, at which point it is securely transferred only to Appdex servers.
- International transfers: Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU. In this case, we apply adequate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
- Legal obligations: We only transfer your data to authorities if legally required, and we will inform you unless prohibited by law.
- With your consent: We never share your data with other third parties without your explicit permission.
4. Data storage & retention:
- If no project agreement is reached, your data is deleted as soon as it is clear there will be no collaboration.
- Data entered into the Evaluate My Project estimator is not stored unless you proceed to Chat with an advisor.
- If a project starts, we retain the data required for communication, invoicing, and hosting.
- If a project ends without ongoing support, all project-related data is deleted shortly after delivery unless legally required to retain it.
- Subscription clients’ data is kept as long as their plan remains active.
- Certain records (e.g., accounting or tax-related) may be retained for up to 10 years, in compliance with Swiss law. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see section 6).
5. Your rights:
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data, unless required by law or contract.
- Objection or limitation: Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent: If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

6. Data security:
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no digital system can guarantee 100% security. Sensitive form submissions (such as quote requests and advisor chats) are protected with HTTPS encryption and Google reCAPTCHA.
7. External links:
Our website may include links to third-party services or platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Forms, etc.). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing any information.
8. Children’s privacy:
Our services are intended for professionals and are not directed toward anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If such data is inadvertently collected, it will be deleted immediately.
9. Privacy policy updates:
We may update this policy to reflect legal, technological, or service changes. The latest version will always be available on our website, with the last update date clearly indicated.
